Your child's learning experience

For over 30 years, Gateway School, has been providing academic success to students in grades 5-12. At Gateway School, your child's education is tailored by using a variety of learning styles and teaching techniques to meet academic goals and needs and to unlock their potential. In addition to academics, we also address organizational skills, time management, behavioral intervention and social skills.

Before each student is enrolled at Gateway School, we recommend a skills assessment which provides valuable insight into your child’s learning style and academic performance level allowing us to accurately determine placement.

Our dedicated teachers keep your child engaged and motivated to learn by constantly challenging them and providing constructive feedback.

Community Involvement

We encourage your child to find their passions inside and outside the classroom by being involved in the local communities through various activities throughout the year. Not only do we encourage this interaction, we invite leaders and speakers into the classroom to share their experiences.

Our Teachers

Our teachers understand how to make students enjoy learning while building their confidence and motivation. Due to low student teacher ratios, our teachers provide individual attention to your child. There are many opportunities for him or her to participate in class and additional support is available after school for homework assistance or test preparation.

Read Right® Program - readright.com

Gateway School has implemented the highly effective Read Right methodology that “offers a highly effective approach that helps students make the leap from simplistic word-based reading to the complex cognitive processing that is required to make sense of text.”

Learning Disabilities

Gateway School is dedicated to providing education in a nurturing environment to individuals despite diagnoses of learning disorders. We address a wide variety of learning disorders including, but not limited to:

• ADD/ADHD and related attention deficit
• Asperger’s Syndrome
• High-functioning autism
• Tourette Syndrome
• Dyslexia and other reading disorders
• Dysgraphia and other writing disorders
• Dyscalculia and other math disorders

We understand it takes the efforts of a community to raise a child. Therefore, it is our commitment to educate and promote awareness and advocacy with information and resources throughout the community.
